helping a stranger

The opportunity never arose for me to stick up for or help a stranger this past week. I did however, make some sort of an effort. Today we got a new girl in my class, Katie. Her locker is only a few down from mine, so i took the initiative to introduce myself and ask how her first day at a new school was. I also told her if she needed any help around the next few days, i'd be glad to step in!

Ideas for purse and dress-up day appeals to principals

We have a group putting together an appeal to be allowed to carry purses at lunch and a group who will argue that we should be allowed to have Gender Bender day for spirit week and that students would be allowed to wear underwear outside of pants for Super Hero day. Any good arguments or support for arguments that they could include in their proposals?

We had several members who attended the RHS leadership conference. What did you learn that we could use in our quest to improve RHS?

Helping Out

Hey. We'd talked about doing something for Haiti, but we didn't have very many creative ideas. Kelsi and I, though, talked about how a lot of students are angry that so much money is headed to Haiti while people in Riverton/Springfield are also in need (Chloe had mentioned this at last week's meeting too). So we talked about maybe choosing a school who had raised money for Haiti and trying to top their dollar amount and then give it to Contact Ministries or the Riverton Food Bank or something.
